Event Description
This annual conference will explore the macroeconomic policies sub-Saharan African countries should pursue to support development, growth and long-term economic resilience. The conference will bring together policymakers, academics and industry experts to explore four areas that will be critical for catalyzing macroeconomic policy to support development: industrial policy, monetary and fiscal policies, macroprudential regulations and regional integration.

Keynote speakers include Abhijit Banerjee, Ford Foundation International Professor of Economics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Vera Songwe, chairwoman of the board of directors of Liquidity and Sustainability Facility (LSF). Speakers include: Cina Lawson, minister of digital economy and transformation, Togo; Jacob Moscona, Prize Fellow in Economics, History and Politics at Harvard University; Adnan Qadir Khan, chief economist and director of economics and evaluation directorate at Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO); and Zainab Usman, director of the Africa program at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace.
